The Punished: Stories of Death-Row Prisoners in India’ by Jahnavi Misra - A Book Review

Saie Shetye reviews Jahnavi Misra's book 'The Punished: Stories of Death Row Prisoners in India'. The Book captures 19 stories of people on death penalty. The stories are not always accounts of the prisoners themselves, but often the accounts of the families, friends, neighbours and, in one case–of a person working on a film about a woman on the death row. These stories were collected from the Death Penalty Research Project conducted by Project 39A at NLU Delhi.
